Usecase-based testing
Usecase-based testing is used to describe the basis of requirements based on workflows. In the course, you will receive methods to convert use cases into test cases.
(Offered only as an internal company course)
Learning objectives
You will gain knowledge and training in the following:
- You will become familiar with the use case model
- You will become familiar with risk prioritization of use cases, test scenarios, and test cases
- You will become familiar with traceability from the project’s requirements specification through use cases to test scenarios and test cases, further to incident reporting
- You will be able to assess the scope of testing in use case-based testing
Target audience
Participants are typically testers who need to establish test cases based on use cases, or test coordinators and test managers who need insight into how test material can be smoothly established based on use cases.
Course format
The usecase-based test course is structured around theoretical walk throughs that ensure understanding of the methods and their value. The theoretical examples are tested on a continuous case. This will give you practical experience and dialogue around the methods, making you capable of transferring them to your own project.
The course will be characterized by dialogue and debate based on your and other participants’ and the instructor’s experiences.
